Model:
2008 Murvi Morello

Overview Photos

Outside:

The Morello we viewed was based on the Fiat Ducato long wheelbase hightop van with metallic paint.  Recessed, high quality conversion windows are fitted including the sliding side door, which has a wide electric access step.

All the external fittings for the conversion are neatly placed and colour coded, making for a clean all-round appearance.

Service connections were easy, all at the back passenger side corner. (Scroll for more...)

Inside:
The first thing to note is no wood on show.  In the main living area of this motorhome, all locker furniture, bedboxes and walls have a soft covering for sound and temperature insulation, whilst in the kitchen and washroom, all surfaces are wipe-clean, including the floor.  The look is simple, but far from plain.  This ‘zoning’ effect separates the ‘business’ and ‘pleasure’ areas.

The dinette employs a brilliantly versatile seating arrangement, where the ‘L’ shape seat can be fixed to the side for maximum lounging space, or quickly turned 90 degrees to facilitate forward belted seating for passengers.  Make-up of the comfortable double bed from this base is quick too.

Storage is not an issue in the long wheelbase Morello, which is on a par with some larger bodied Low Profiles.  There are no wasted areas of space in a Morello.  Deep high level lockers are mounted over the cab and in the dinette area, while the kitchen offers storage above and below a generous area of domestic quality worksurface.  Thought has been given to lighting here also, and a mains socket is ideally placed in the rear corner. Standard fixtures and fittings are to a high standard and everything feels very solid.

By necessity the washroom is small, but easy to look after.  The shower has a partial curtain for the rear van door and wipe-clean wall surfaces. Neat touches like a practical hanging rail add to a well thought out facility.

Summary:
Murvi’s reputation is for quality build without compromise and as you could be spending £45,000-50,000 or more to get the Morello you want, you need to be clear about your requirements.  The Morello has been honed over several years and has many small design details which add to its appeal.

For some, a Murvi is a dream motorhome and it is understandable that people hold them in high regard.  Is it right for you? Yes, if you are looking for a spacious, top quality panel conversion and have the time to enjoy your investment.
