Model: 2007 Timberland Destiny

Overview Photos Specs Layouts

Outside:
Timberland offer a range of external colours, and, like cars, silver is a popular choice as on this Featured Model.  The new Ducato looks good from all angles and the interweaving coloured graphics give a feeling of fun, although on the offside the line is broken due to the (necessary) fridge vents.  Access to the inside is superb, the vehicle having 5 doors.  With the ‘U’ section of the rear lounge removed you can walk straight in or out of the back doors, whilst the side sliding door gives immediate access also.

Service connections to the Timberland Destiny comprise of 230v mains input and water filler on the offside, with gas connection for the on-board tank on the nearside, under the side skirt, so fairly low; here you will also find the waste water pipe & outlet.  An outside light is fitted as standard.

Inside:
The classic Timberland hallmarks are here:  carpeted walls for insulation, good quality fixtures and fittings, plenty of lighting and storage.  Examples of attention to detail include smooth undersides to bedboxes to avoid upholstery damage, soft touch locker door catches (the handles feel loose, but aren’t) and double sided access to the under-kitchen locker, adjacent to the vehicle sliding door.   Two leisure batteries are standard.

The generous rear lounge makes a very comfortable zone, with the added bonus of the 4 speaker system.  Opting for the slide-out TV is almost essential here, as it tucks away ingeniously, taking up minimal space and once in the viewing position, is at the optimal height.

Bed make-up is straightforward thanks to the slide-out box which houses the bed slats to support the centre bed section.  Without the need to act as a bed support, the large free standing table is of elliptical, rather than rectangular design.   The washroom employs a tip-up vanity sink to allow more showering and changing room, however, as the shower head pulls out from the tap, shower temperature control with the sink raised could be tricky.  The kitchen is well equipped with further options including extractor and microwave. Additional kitchen worktop space is facilitated by a hinged flap on the side of the kitchen cabinet.
